Well hallelujah! After 3 failed attempts to get a digital scale that worked (see my earlier reviews of other products), this one came and worked right out of the box! I don't know if it's accurate but at least it's consistent so I can track my ups and downs (hopefully more downs than ups!). Set up wasn't intuitive but not bad and at least it worked! One tiny point: the manual is written is a light blue (why???) and tells you about a bar that appears on the bottom of the screen that tells you whether you are under, good, over or obese in fat content. Then in tiny lighter blue type it tells you if you select "athletic" you won't get this black bar at all. Why? Who knows. But I was about to call them to find out why I didn't have it. So..if you want it, don't select athletic.I really wanted a body analysis scale that tracked fat, muscle, bone and water but apparently that's too much to ask and I am satisfied with this.
