I have several CDs of Philippe Saisse and this is my favorite. For one, no vocalists which they don’t need because the music is better than they are (sorry!). Secondly, this includes “Do it Again” and “Lovely Day”, which are two of my favorites. I will only add that we need to hear more of Phillipe’s vibes which Gary Burton points out in the notes. I think this artist is moving in right direction with this newest CD and that is as a jazz trio.
