This is a great find for artists. The book is complete—with medical terminologies, diagrams, explanations of movement, and artistic applications. Chapters cover details of figurative expression and portraiture. I particularly liked the artistic insights that Jennifer Crouch has consistently added to the scientific and topological explanations. I especially like the chapters on lines, marks, textures, countours, pose, gesture, movement, and portraiture. This gem is informative and basic enough for a beginner, but rich and complex enough for seasoned portrait and figure artists. This is a keeper. My thanks to the author and publisher.
