Okay took one star because it doesn't seem like the quality control is where it should be as one of the pads is off center making it look aesthetically wrong other than that works as intendedworks just they way we like it. it's easy to use as well.I have previously owned several body-fat scales, all of which were more expensive than this scale. This scale is as good as any of the more expensive scales I have owned, and better than most. At this point I see no reason to pay more money for one of the top-end scales. Using bioimpedance to determine body-fat is never going to be 100% accurate, the science simply cannot provide a "correct" figure. I have had a Dexa Scan, have used several formulas that take waist size into account, and as noted, have had several body-fat scales. The range has been from a low of 12.9% to a high of 20%, with the Dexa Scan coming in at 15% and the Triomph scale coming in at 12.9%. Dexa is called the "gold standard" of body-fat measurements, but even that is not 100% accurate. So I take the absolute number with a grain of salt, but I do watch the trend over time. The Triomph seems reliably consistent and effective for the purpose. Same for the weight. I pay little attention to the rest of the metrics. All in all, I find the Triomph scale to be a very cost effective way to track weight and body-fat to help me manage health and fitness. It doesn't offer or require an app, which appealed to me. I'm wary of all the invasive tracking done by apps, so I just wanted a scale that would give me reliable numbers on the unit. For me, the Triomph is a 5 star value.I really don't know if this product is working as it claims. I'm on week 7 of my weight loss journey. Working out 3-5 days week. Eating clean and losing inches all over. But this thing reads my body fat% as the same, if not going up a half percent??? WTF? Nope. If my clothes are looser (which they are) then I'm losing fat. I think this thing is just calculating a formula based on my height & weight. Well, as I'm building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat, the bodyweight naturally isn't moving so, the formula spits out the same bodyfat %. Or, I got a defective item. Too late to return. I should have just bought calipers to do pinch tests rather than spending the $ on this thing. Totally frustrating.this scale is so much each to use. i primarily bought this to measure my BMI and other fats measurements. it's very easy to use just enter some little data like height and age then step on it and it will calculate your BMI. no need to download apps and way been easier for me.I like to track my health, not just my weight and this is perfect! It shows all the other factors that make up total weight so I can make sure I'm staying actually healthy and not just "thin". I don't want to be in a healthy weight range with no muscle mass! I wanna know if I'm not drinking enough water! This scale is great!Works well once you figure it out. Can be used just for step on and see weight or load user info and then tap the central spot before stepping on and you get all the different readings and weight.My Tanita finally went out after years of service. The readings on Triomph are in line with my Tanita which is comforting. However, the Triomph gives much more information. Great buy for a lot less money.
