The first thing I thought when I smelled this body wash was grandma's old dish full of soaps. It has a pretty strong floral scent but once I'm all washed up, I smell quite nice and a lot of the strong odor doesn't linger. I feel that this does a good job of not drying out my skin worse because I get winter skin and bar soaps definitely dry my skin out and I've had better skin since using this body wash. I use it with an exfoliating cloth in the shower and I like it. Not enough really comes out per pump so you have to pump it a few times to get enough wash for a shower.
