These are much more substantial and even provide a small amount of slimming due to the stretch in the fabric. I'm replacing all my undies with these.Went to Macys to purchase these panties -( purchased them about 8 years ago. )The underwear buyers must be sleeping-I left buying nothing-what was featured in that sloppy department in Macys was "crap". I left disappointed, remembering when Macys was a beautiful store, with merchandise fully packed for customers.So, I went to my very favorite place AMAZON- and there it was-the panties and the model # that I wanted.2 days later-"wallah" at my door.What could be better--that's why department stores are going out of business. THEIR BUYERS ARE SLEEPING!These panties are a steal at the Amazon price. Soft and luxurious would be the two words I would describe them with. The waist is fairly high, so if you like low cut pants or are trying to conceal your panties in the workplace like me, then these might not be the panty for you.Fit 5/5 - Sizing was very close to other panties I have worn. The stretch fabric was forgiving and yet firm. A very good combination of fabric to make every last seam sit where it should.Comfort 5/5 - The stretchy fabric gave a superb and supportive feel. The shiny look led me to believe that the fabric was silky smooth - it was. Walking around in them felt comfortable as there was no ride up at all.Practicality 3/5 - The waist of these panties rides higher than some briefs that I have. They do tend to "show" when you bend over. They come in solid colors only, so the exotic factor is not present with these.The quality of craftsmanship and the value make these an excellent purchase for someone who is looking for a high waisted comfortable panty. Delivery was early and product was in superb condition upon arrival. I would recommend these panties to any man who didn't mind a little "show and tell" when he bends over.I threw away almost all of my other panties as these are the most comfortable and slimming. The fabric has a girdle, slimming effect that makes my tummy and butt appear firmer, pulling both in slightly. I like the high waist band as it hits me at my waist giving me an added tuck-in so I have a more defined waist line. The fabric is shiny and soft enabling slacks to pull up over them effortlessly with extra softness adding to the comfort factor. The fabric is substantial, like a leotard or jazz pants, so my fingernails have never put holes in them. They withstands hundreds of washes in the washing machine.In terms of care, these panties CANNOT be washed with anything Velcro as it will damage the material creating balls of fiber where the Velcro pulls on this soft spandex material. I had to throw out a pair because of this. Additionally, they cannot tolerate Oxy Clean as the latter will damage the stretchy aspect of the material.Although I have many colors, I prefer the black. The material is so substantial as being leotard-like, I've worn them as bathing suit bottoms, under tennis skirts, and under short shorts, with wider legs, cycling. These are the best panties I've ever owned or experienced.Finally found a bit of structure for nightime underpants. Just how it was made 30 years ago. FITS GREAT!I have used these for years.
