Panel Separating Knife Even after you've drilled out spot welds, separating panels can be tough. With Eastwood's new "Smacker-Whacker" simply insert the heavy-duty Sheffield steel blade between the panels and lightly hammer the blade back to gently wedge the panels apart (or smack it there, and give it a whack!) 8 3/8" overall length.
Its pretty well constructed, in that it is simply a single piece of metal, sharpened on one side, with a grip. That's it. I've been banging on it with a soft mallet removing a dash frame from a 67 ranchero. I am using it in conjunction with Eastwoods spot weld cutters (available here at amazon). I am not sure how I would get through this many spot welds without this tool. A must if you are separating body panels.
