The format of this weight workout is simple: You will be doing ten songs. Each song is choreographed and concentrates on exhausting one muscle group at a time through the use of light-to-moderate weighted dumbbells, a barbell, a sliding device, and a medium tension stretch band. What is High-Rep Resistance Strength Training? High-rep full body resistance training is working with lighter weights, between 40 to 60% of your one-rep max, and doing a higher number of reps. The goal with this full body workout DVD is to completely fatigue the muscles. Since you’re using a lighter weight, it takes more reps to achieve this.
Improve Your Muscle Endurance - High rep weight lifting is ideal for building muscle endurance. High-rep training makes your muscles capable of exerting themselves for longer periods of time. Endurance gives you more stamina when you train as well. Unless you’re doing a higher number of reps, you won’t develop muscular endurance.
High-Rep Training Can Still Build Lean Muscle - Low-rep, heavy weight training is optimal for building strength but high-rep training can still be effective for muscle building if you do enough reps to thoroughly fatigue the muscle.
