There are no finer examples of armor design than that of Gothic styling. The curves and fluting that make this armor truly unique were originally created by the artistic German armorers of the late 15th century. We have recreated their style in armor with this magnificent gothic breastplate, making it perfect for your next medieval event. Each stylish Gothic armor cuirass comes complete with a front and a back plate. Supported by excellent quality leather straps at the back, this one is quite easy and light to be worn. The back and front plates offers beautiful design edges. Gothic Cuirass manufactured from 18 gauge mild steel and comes in a Polish Finish. Please note that this item does come oiled to help prevent from rusting. We recommend, after every use please oil.
The quality is great and the piece is beautiful. I got this for the SCA and the flexibility is incredible. The front and back plates move and flex with you. For padding I use grey carpet padding and flex seal glue. It is incredible! When you pad it remember to leave spaces between the padding for ventilation. The front and back plates are hung from leather on the inside of the armor which allows the armor to move with your body. I had to replace the original straps with extensions since I am a little fat around the waist. I recommend replacing the top straps immediately (unless you have a bird chest) they will not fit but once extended the entire piece lays flat. It is a truly beautiful piece and made is extremely well made. Overall 5 stars!
